Floor Supervisors
Western Dental Floor Supervisors ensure that all aspects of the dental center's treatment area function in an orderly and efficient manner. Floor Supervisors are responsible for the training and coordinating of back office staff. They manage and are accountable for patient flow, operatory assignments, dental assistant assignments, sterilization compliance procedures, X-ray operations and the ordering of dental supplies.
Registered Dental Assistants
Western Dental Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) assist the doctors and perform independent duties permitted by the state Dental Practice Act. They are responsible for maintaining excellent communication with our doctors and assisting them in patient care. Our RDAs are trained to be experts in making our patients comfortable during treatment and providing our patients with an unparalleled customer experience. All Western Dental Registered Dental Assistants must have current RDA licenses.
Dental Assistants
Western Dental Dental Assistants (DAs) perform their responsibilities as dental auxiliaries in accordance with the state Dental Practice Act. Experienced DA's are responsible for maintaining excellent communication with our doctors and assisting them in all aspects of patient care. Our DAs are trained to be experts in making our patients comfortable during treatment and providing our patients with an unparalleled customer experience. Experienced DA's will receive additional training to learn new skills. In addition, Western Dental has programs to provide the training in order for DA's who are new to the field to master the necessary dental skills and customer service skills to grow in our organization.
X-Ray Technicians
Western Dental X-Ray Technicians must have a current radiation safety certificate for the state in which they practice. Western Dental X-Ray Technicians take x-rays as directed by the dentist. They are trained in dental x-ray and developing procedures as well as infection control procedures that pertain to their tasks. Our X-Ray Technicians are also experts in making our patients comfortable during the x-ray process and providing an unparalleled patient experience.
Laboratory Technicians
Western Dental has prosthetic laboratories on the premises at many of our offices. Western Dental Laboratory Technicians perform a variety of dental prosthetic laboratory duties and work hand-in-hand with the doctors to produce high quality dental prosthetics. These include: pouring of impressions, bite registration, and try-ins. Laboratory Technicians are responsible for custom trays, repairs, and working with doctors to achieve the best possible results for our patients. Prior experience in dental prosthetics is required.
Sterilization Technicians
Western Dental Sterilization Technicians prepare the instruments and materials for patient treatment according to Western Dental's infection control guidelines, the best in the industry. Training is provided to ensure safety and efficiency, with additional training available to provide Sterilization Technicians with opportunities for advancement.
