At Western Dental, “quality” is a word we take very seriously. Ensuring quality care for our patients is our number one priority. We have invested thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars into developing the most advanced quality management program in the industry. As our one-of-a-kind quality assurance management system (QAMS) results in a higher quality of dental care, we are proud to pass its benefits on to our patients. The responsibility for this unique and effective system is shared by our team of trained in-house auditors, peer review committees,
patient relations department, and an extensive team of dentists and staff—all led by our dental director of quality management and QAMS.
- Largest Quality Management System
Our unique and proprietary Quality Assurance Management System (QAMS) tracks all patient visits, treatments and other information electronically. Western Dental is proud to have the largest quality management system, with over 30 professionals who are 100% dedicated to quality patient care. Our Quality Management team and the sophisticated systems they use track every patient encounter, review and audit our treating dentists all year round, provide ongoing mentoring to our dentists and their assistants, and monitor all aspects of clinical performance at the Western Dental offices, year-round.
- Training & Auditing
In addition to the extensive quality of care efforts made by the dentists and staff at our dental offices and the valuable, year-round oversight and training by our extensive team of experienced dentists who provide ongoing clinical and operating supervision to the dentists and staff in our dental offices, our Quality Management Department boasts a team of over fifteen highly experienced, trained dentists dedicated 100% to year-round oversight of our dental offices for compliance with our quality of care policies, standards, practices and procedures.
- Professional Development
We verify the backgrounds, records, clinical history, licensing, and credentialing of all of our dentists from the start as yet one more way to ensure that our patients receive high quality of care. But it doesn’t stop there: we mentor our dentists year-round, provide ongoing professional training, conduct regular professional development programs, and audit all of our doctors on an ongoing basis.
- Analysis
Our unique, state-of-the-art QAMS and other electronic systems capture every treatment performed on every patient in our dental offices on a daily basis, and provide us with extensive analysis that measures performance against our rigorous quality of care requirements. Hence, every patient encounter in every office, every day is evaluated electronically for compliance with our requirements involving the amount of treatment performed on every patient, treatment sequencing, and other clinical factors. These analyses are then reviewed by experienced, trained quality management dentists to add the human element and judgment that are central to the success of our quality management programs.
- Continuing Education
Important in our goal of clinical excellence is our commitment to providing ongoing continuing education and training to our dentists and staff. We conduct continuing education programs year-round exclusively for our dentists and staff on industry developments and new and existing treatments, processes, systems, and solutions. We want our dentists to be the brightest, most up-to-date in the industry so that they will provide our patients with excellent quality care.

Our facilities use state-of-the art equipment, instruments, tools, and supplies. Because of our size and the strength of our commitment to quality, effective dental care, we constantly review developments in the dental industry so that we can evaluate if there are new and better ways to deliver quality, affordable care to our patients.
- Safety/Infection Control
We take pride in our clean, sterile, safe facilities. We have a full time safety and infection control compliance team that educates and monitors all of our dental offices on a year-round basis for compliance with all safety, sterilization, and other facility requirements.
