Sacramento, CA - Western Dental, the state’s largest Medi-Cal Dental provider, thanks the Legislature and Governor Newsom for their commitment to preserve Prop 56 Medi-Cal Dental funding. However, more work will be needed to ensure providers are able to continue accepting patients in the future.

Sacramento, CA - Western Dental, the state’s largest Medi-Cal Dental provider, issued the following statement following the legislature’s passage of the 2025-2026 state budget: 

“Thank you to the Legislature for protecting Medi-Cal Dental in this year’s budget. In order to ensure that millions of patients have continued access to care, we must preserve the Prop 56 funding that was approved by voters and intended to support Medi-Cal Dental going forward.
