ORANGE, Calif., March 12, 2018 – Western Dental & Orthodontics, one of the nation’s leaders in accessible, affordable, high-quality oral health care, today announced the appointment of Edwin Rivera as Vice President of Community Marketing and Strategic Alliances.

Rivera has 25 years of experience working in healthcare policy, program development and operations, marketing, and community engagement for a variety of organizations serving unique cross sections of the community.

“Edwin will be able to draw on his extensive healthcare experience and community  relationships to help us reach out to the communities our offices serve and to potential partners who share our vision of high quality, affordable and accessible care,” said Daniel D. Crowley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Western Dental and its affiliate, Brident Dental & Orthodontics.

Rivera previously served as Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement for Regal Medical Group in Northridge. He brings experience in the health insurance and healthcare delivery field having served as State Director of Community Outreach for Molina Healthcare in Long Beach; Business Developer for Altamed Health Services in Los Angeles, Program Director for Paradigm Medical Management, St. Agnes Medical Center, Fresno; Senior Manager of Latino Program Development at Health Net of California. 

He also has community advocacy experience as the former Director of Policy and Operations for the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California in Sacramento.  He has participated as a board member on several not-for-profit organizations, including his current role as Vice-Chair for Latino Health Access in Santa Ana.

Rivera earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organizational Development from Fresno Pacific University, Fresno and pursued a Master of Arts in Business Management from National University, La Jolla, Calif.
