ORANGE, Calif., December 15, 2020 – Western Dental & Orthodontics, one of the nation’s  leaders in accessible, affordable oral healthcare and the leading orthodontics provider in the country, today announced the opening of a new Western Dental & Orthodontics office in Granada Hills, CA.

The new office is located at 16842 Devonshire near Balboa Blvd. just south of the 118 Freeway, in a large retail center that includes a Regency Theaters, Ralphs and CVS Pharmacy.

Western Dental already operates multiple offices in the area along Van Nuys Boulevard to the east and in Canoga Park to the west. Western Dental operates a total of 235 offices in California.

“We are proud to expand access to even more residents of the San Fernando Valley with this new office,” said Dr. John Luther, Chief Dental Officer for Western Dental. “We will continue to provide a full complement of dental services, all under one roof.”

The new office is almost 4,000 square feet in a new building and includes 11 treatment rooms and a panoramic X-ray machine. The office provides comprehensive dental services, including general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, pediatric dentistry and oral hygiene services, creating a “dental home” for its patients.

“My team and I are thrilled to be serving this community in a beautiful new space,” said Dr. Bashar Elia, Managing Dentist at the new Granada Hills office. “We look forward to offering more convenient access for residents and welcoming new patients looking for safe, affordable oral health care.”

Western Dental has installed new equipment and implemented enhanced safety protocols in all of its offices, consistent with public health and dental association guidelines, to help prevent coronavirus transmission. “Our goal is to ensure the safety of doctors, staff and patients,” said Dr. Luther.

Western Dental welcomes patients covered by the Medi-Cal Dental program (known as Denti-Cal) at this location and all of its California offices, in addition to accepting uninsured and privately insured patients. Western Dental is the leading provider of services to the Denti-Cal program, which provides health care benefits for more than 13 million low-income individuals and families in California. Western Dental is committed to continuing to partner with the State to help improve the program.

The office is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is closed on Wednesday. A virtual open house and ribbon cutting ceremony are planned.
